A Sack Mound is another magical urban farming garden that you can easily manage in a small space. On sack mound, you can plant over 30 crops that would require a spacious area in plain farming. In this training, we show you how to prepare a sack mound to harvest crops for your household regularly. Another type of urban farming garden (Polythene garden) is added to this training as a bonus for you.

In this training, I show you how to make a Kitchen garden where you are to drop all your kitchen wastes and turn them into fertilizers of a well-set garden on a square meter space. You will have very healthy crops for your household when you utilize a Kitchen garden well. As our bonus for you, I have included construction of a Box garden, another urban farming garden.

Soil is often divided into various categories, such as clay, sand, silt, and loam, although there are an infinite number of soil varieties because soil compositions can vary widely in organic matter, large and small rocks, minerals, pH, and other factors. Most gardeners consider soil that has a combination of sand, silt, clay, and organic matter to be good soil. This training will help you identify and prepare soil the the best results of your garden. It has to start with soil preparation.

A food tower is a magical garden and an answer to limited gardening space, a common challenges of urban farming. A food tower is magical in a such a way that space needed to plant 40 crops can now grow on a square meter food tower. At Kwagala farm, we believe you can grow crops for your household even with limited space. Let us show you how to do that when you enroll to take this training.
In this training, I take you through the steps to construct a food tower including the necessary soil mixing needed to grow healthy and productive crops on a food tower. I have also added another training (plain farming practices) as a bonus for you.
Imagine harvesting crops on a square meter food tower for over 3 years!

Cattle have different diet requirements that are composed of grass, legumes, silage etc. It is from the feeds that a dairy cow gets the energy to leave health, grow, produce milk and reproduction. When a cow gets sick and is unable to feed, its energy levels diminish and the cow will cut down production. In this training, we attempt to gather different materials to support a farmer on feeding cattle. Coming Soon!

- Teacher: Silas Muwonge
This training is meant to educate the many households in Uganda keeping cattle and washing away the Cow dung. If you intend to acquire cattle, this training will be ideal for you not to miss getting a product from Cow dung. At Kwagala Farm, we use Cow dung as a by-product of not only boi-gas but also other products such as fertilizers. For this training, we shall keep to the production of bio-gas using cow dung as a by-product.

Farm Financial Management can be defined to imply, the formal record of financial activities of a farm business and the measurements to evaluate those activities.

Vertical farming is cultivating plants life within a skyscraper greenhouse or on vertically inclined surfaces. We shall look at how to do vertical farming using the resources available. Vertical farming is an ideal form of doing urban farming. Wikipedia-Vertical farming is the practice of producing food and medicine in vertically stacked layers, vertically inclined surfaces and/or integrated with other structures (such as in a skyscraper, used warehouse, or shipping container).

Lessons will range from engineering to mathematics, to physics, to highlighting aerospace anniversaries -- all of which will be presented in a way that easily relates to your students. For this programme, we have 63 lessons in all.
The online STEM Education and Aerospace Micro-Lesson is designed to inspire, influence, and mold the next generation of aerospace scientists and engineers by providing a series of resources and programming to teachers, students, parents, and aerospace professionals. The programs enlighten and engage our global community of future aerospace professionals by helping them learn more about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The developing countries have suffered a series of decadence in Aerospace and STEM Education, therefore our mission is to stimulate a lasting interest in the STEM disciplines, with the goal of encouraging students to pursue careers in these fields. This is accomplished by actively involving students in the support of authentic research currently being conducted on the International Space Station (ISS) or in a NASA ground-based laboratory. Through collaboration with AIAA, Space Foundation and researchers, we have created educational mini-curriculum for the university, college, high school or middle school classroom that engages students as research assistants, providing data for the Principal Investigator.
We aim to promote Aerospace and STEM Sciences in Africa.

Increasingly, organizations are driven by project-related work as opposed to functional type work. The repetitive functions, things like payroll, accounting, and public relations, are becoming outsourced so that people can devote more time to the real value added work of projects. The need to change is driving much of this shift away from functional work to project work. And this can range from process improvement type projects (such as Six Sigma) to short term projects such as competitive analysis profiles. Given this increased emphasis on project related work, it is now important for everyone to fully understand how to manage projects. This short course will present the principles and practices associated with project management.

In this module, you will explore the various academic discussions associated with the use of games in learning. You will be exposed to the emergent concepts in the field such as gamification, game-based learning, serious games, epistemic games and the research associated with those concepts.
The module uses Whitton’s “Digital games and learning: Research and theory.”, the canonical text in the field as the main text of reference. The module will be divided into five sections as that in the book: introduction, games as active learning environments, games as motivational tools, games as playgrounds, games as learning technologies. The four different parts explore the different areas of research in the use of games in education. Research methodology will also be briefly discussed here.
This module will expose to the different arguments in the research literature, both in theory and in practice. By actively parsing the contents of the module, you are to form your own insights in the field. If you are an educator yourself, this module can also inform you on the application side of game-based learning.
